Uri is his twin brother, who will come soon in a next update as an NPC, then as a MC. If you have any question on how he looks... well exactly the same as Lucious.
Name: Lucious Corsican
Height: 1, 84 mts (6' 0')
Allegiance: Currently Koben, might change in the furute.
|Childish| |Cunning| |Reliable| |Competitive| |Quick witted| |Proud| |Narcissistic| |Outgoing| |Carefree| |Diligent| |Amoral| |Pragmatic| |Cowardly| |Hyperactive| |Goofy|
He is a pretty narcissistic young man, always keeping his looks and dapper appearance. Flirty alone and even flirtier when aided by his brother, Lucious likes to show off and turns even the most menial task into a competition. Luckily he is not a bad loser, but that doesn’t mean he won’t attempt to win at everything.
A good talker and businessman, their smuggling company being the only thing he takes seriously though. He has a very carefree view towards life, having learned from the past that you can’t control what happens, and that is best to live the day and enjoy what you have now, since everything can disappear at any moment. This carefree personality also translates to little concern about other’s people's problems , and a general lack of empathy which makes him seem harsh or insensitive. He doesn’t care about anybody but those very close to him, and his morality is very ambiguous, being easily bribed or moved by money.
Also not fond of fighting at all, and although he can hold his own, he prefers to resort to below the belt tactics or completely run away. Most people consider him cowardly, though he prefers to call himself an “tactical fighter” . Don’t expect him to fight if he doesn’t have a clear advantage, otherwise, he will turn tail and run unless the situation doesn’t allow him to.
He loves to talk and prank, and his lack of seriousness might drive people mad, unfazed by danger, he will often make quirky or witty remarks about situations someone might consider awful or distasteful.
Lucious and Uri Corsican are smugglers hailing from Linhythe, owners of the Red & Blue Trading Company, an obvious fake enterprise which serves as their medium of contact with their customers. They sail aboard the Weeping Widow, a brig with a crew of 12 men and women of various races and nationalities, all of them misfits in their own ways.
The Corsican brothers were born in the vast slums of Linhythe, to a cleaning lady and a whaler.
Their father left home before they were born, and thus, their mother, Anne, had to work all day and night just to put some food on the table.
The kids raised themselves, inseparable since birth, the bond of their twinhood helped them overcome the hardships of life as poor citizens of one of the most corrupt cities of Koben.
As children, they survived thanks to theft, shrugging off their mother’s attempts to teach them honesty, as they understood that if you wanted something in Linhythe, you had to take it. Their current skills are an evolution of what they used to do when they were kids, pulling pranks and using Uri’s early magical powers to mask their mischief.
Their mother died from sickness, contracted from her unrelenting work schedule, leaving them alone at the age of 11. Without wanting to go to an orphanage, the brothers decided to join a ship as powder monkeys, and build a new life for their own, maybe this time with honesty and hard work. But as time passed, they eventually ended working for the Jewel Sea Corsairs, unable to escape the life of crime.
They served on a pirate ship, Oblivia, for 6 years, whose crew became like an adoptive family. Both brothers were at home on the sea, learning the various crafts of a life aboard a ship.
They were instructed in fencing and ranged combat once they became too tall and big to work as powder monkeys, finally becoming permanent members of the crew.
Lucious could never specialize in one thing, and he chose to keep his talents varied, focusing on developing his people skills and sneaking than his combat skills.
Their affiliation with the crew ended due to a job gone wrong, where the vast majority of the members were caught, then imprisoned or executed. Only a few managed to not get caught in the raid, Lucious and Uri among them, mostly thanks to Uri’s magic. Before escaping though, they managed to complete the contract, and steal a valuable piece of jewelry that once sold, paved the road for their present life.
Teaming up with the remains of the old crew, they became smugglers on their own, now putting to practice what they have learned during their time aboard the pirate ship.
Sailing their own flag, they bought a brig and named it Anne, the Weeping Widow, as a widow doesn’t have a husband to be faithful to, signaling their lack of ties to the main forces of the world.
This brig became the home for many more lost souls that, as they once did, searched for a new beginning in Linhythe, thus, giving birth to The Red & Blue Trading Company, their own smuggling enterprise.
Currently, the Red & Blue is faring well on this war, while the attack on Linhythe was surprising, they managed to set sails and fly the city before things got truly hairy for them, as they were not the main target of the attack on the city.
They still sail with Koben, who for now it’s their biggest bidder, and their previous employer on the attack at Belport, which they helped by setting explosive charges on the defenses.
They have returned to Linhythe, but they are unsure of whether they will stay for long due to the increasing chaos the city is under.
- The Weeping Widow is their home, it has been tailored to their needs. it is a fast, maneuverable ship, but lacks firepower. It’s crew is very capable though. It is also undermanned by 4 men, so there are open slots.
- Enjoys singing in duet with his brother, who also plays the lute. They might randomly burst out singing at any given moment.
- The “main” captain of the Weeping Widow, just because Uri is not that into steering.
- Charming and inspirational, he is the main leader of the Red & Blue.
- Will never do anything if it’s not for money, and the length of his morality depends on how much of said money is on the table. On the other hand, his crew is his family, and none of them get left behind.
